Virtual One Day First Aid for Mental Health Course for Seafarers

OSI are holding our first ever First Aid for Mental Health Course for Seafarers on the 11th January 2021.
This one day virtual course provides you with the full syllabus of the accredited Level 2 First Aid for Mental Health and additionally covers Seafarer specific information, scenarios, stats and much more.
Taking place over Microsoft Teams, 9:30am – 16:30pm inclusive of comfort breaks. Delivered by an award winning instructor with a passion to deliver mental health topics and creating MH conversations.

Research has shown that work is the biggest cause of stress which can stop people performing at their best; therefore, identifying and dealing with these issues could make a profound impact on your business.

You will also be trained on the implementation of a first aid action plan for mental health. This process will standardise the approach to mental health in the workplace, helping your business implement a positive mental health culture in the workplace.

You will also learn and understand the impact of substance abuse.

What to expect and course delivery:

This course is suitable for everyone but has been designed to help employers to provide a positive mental health culture within the workplace.

After successful completion of this course candidates will be consider First Aiders for Mental Health.

After course delivery a virtual assessment is required by First Aid Awards (FAA) in order to pass this qualification this will be arranged with you and the instructor between 12th – 29th January.

Internet access, Microsoft Teams are essential to complete this course. Meeting link will be issued to your booking email address by 5pm on 10th January.
