This self-learning qualification provides learners with the knowledge to recognise a range of mental health conditions, how to start a supportive conversation and when and how to signpost a person to seek appropriate professional help. Learners will learn how to recognise and manage stress and understand the impact of substance abuse, along with information on first aid action plan's for mental health and implementing a positive mental health culture in the workplace. Our part self-learning course commences on 30th May. Learners will be issued with reading material, reference video links on this date. It is recommended learners complete a minimum of 4 hours self learning over the 2 week course period, this will be supported by 2 x 1.5 hour instructor led webinar sessions (full attendance of both sessions is required). Webinars will allow time for Q&A, group discussions and interaction. Successful completion of a 1-1 assessment is required in order to gain this qualification. Sessions take place virtually via Microsoft Teams on; June 3rd 10am-11.30am and June 7th 2.30pm-4pm Assessments will be arranged with participants within 2 weeks of course delivery date. Webinar links will be issued on or before 28th May 2022 via the email used at time of booking unless otherwise stated. Please note all assessments must be completed by 17th June. Qualification is valid for 3 years, certificate and booklet included.
